I've got one key on my keyboard whic doesn't play when I hit it. Does anybody know how I can fix it? I have no idea how it broke coz it wasn't mine when it happened but was given to me later - it's a really decent one too.

Pop out the key with something long and thin and then pop it back in.

i couldn't figure out how to pop it out and i was afraid of breaking it as it's just plastic, but after putting pressure on it from underneath and pushing it around it's working now. still, thanks for your advice.

You can allways unscrew your keyboard and open it. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Wouldn't recommend it if you have no knowledge in thechnology. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You don't have to unscrew your keyboard for anything press-related. Take a small butter knife, stick it under the bottom of the key, and push up softly. Keys don't break that easy from this (unless its a cheap keyboard), and it's a good way to clean the whole entire keyboard.

Ofcourse, you can just do my usual way. Put the keyboard upside down and beat the hell out of it. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think I'll just stick to a good ol' regular Piano.

Some helpful advise. If you ever plan to clean your keyboard with suds and what not, I'd leave that to the pros. Even I wouldn't attempt it. Heck, my keyboard cost me $25, so I'd probably just go buy another one.

Here's a picture of my setup. Nice wrist rest to boot for only another $15. A little cash goes a long way.
