I'm looking for a very talented artist who can draw either on a computer very well or on paper and has access to a scanner. Any pictures drawn will have to be converted to gif format. If anyone's wondering, it's for meh DN3D TC group. Unlike Xecutioner, I will only post this thread once.

If your wondering about why this isn't in the Build section, it's because practically nobody would reply to it, which'd make it useless.

If yer willing to help out, post a reply, e-mail me or contact me on AIM, ICQ, or Y!

I know it's nice to see DN3D is still going and it's cool u make a Tc but why take this so professional. A little Tc doesn't really need sketches etc. Come on, it's just Duke images/icons/smile.gif

Why do you call our TC small? You haven't gone here (http://amc.ttnetwk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5), obviously.

Also, IwantMORE, are you prepared for lots of character frames and textures? Maybe if you get another artist to help you'd not have as much drawing to do. Well, if you can show me some of your work, we'll see if yer good.

I'm a wee bit curious, I'm an artist and might consider helping you, but you want frame by frame sprites or something? that may take too much time I don't have sadly.

All that work and no pay... keeps you from paying bills... and that sucks when your electricity gets turned off... graemlins/doh.gif

Roger, you might like to check out my picture gallery (http://www.geocities.com/kungtzu01/index.html). Tell me what you think. images/icons/wink.gif

What sort of pictures are you looking for anyway?

Looks like we may have two artists. That means the work will be split up, and there will be less work for the two of ya. If you want a general idea of the stuff, here (http://www.geocities.com/darkritprod/story.htm)'s the page to visit.

If you decide that you will help out by joining the team, more information will be given to you, including secret information on the next two possible projects. That plus I'll give you some home-grown vegetables in the mail. images/icons/tongue.gif j/k

Well Roger, I'm not saying ur TC is small. But it was much better to ask for this 6 years ago. Take a look at GoD, 2 years of work, a whole book, comics, art and 700 downloads. Woohoo!!! All work for nothing!

Might sound lame, but I wasn't exposed to Duke 3D until about three years ago. Even then I got no help from anybody. All I got was curse words and put downs.

Kef_Nukem, I don't really see it as work. It's very fun, and I like doing it for the Dukers, giving them something to play, keeping the Duke spirit alive. Besides, the TC will be very fun to play, and there will always be variety if the duke fans build levels for it.

I just hope that I finish it, or else all the "work" was for nothing. As long as I work hard and get it done, I'll be happy, no matter how many downloads it gets. The people that DO download it will have fun for a few days, I can tell ya

I felt happy when Borg Nukem was done and at the same time pissed I spent so much time in it all for hardly anything. I was also happy that DNF had not been released yet. But even if I had not done BN I would not start a TC today. First of all, it sucks with XP and don't really feel like installing older windows versions just for Duke. Then, the community is slowely dying, you might want to keep it up by making more/a Tc, but it won't help. Duke would only kick more butt if there would atleast be one map per day, tons of sites, total conversions etc. but those days are gone. Duke has had it's best time and that was back when Dukeworld was still alive.

You might like working on it now, but I'm pretty sure the "hard work" will turn into "slow work" and while working you'll feel like: "**** it, I'm gonna play some more SoF2". I had the same feeling when I had been working on BN for like a year but a few months later I started becoming pissed off. There weren't too much people intersted in it, Duke was old, making an enemy took ages while I could do it in a few hours for other games.. etc etc.

You think you will feel bad if the project doesn't get released? Well, you're right but you will feel the same even if it gets finished actually.

Well good luck and I'm gonna stop typing alot, you people don't believe me and keep blocking my opinions which are mostly facts and I know this, many of you people don't even know how much I've done for the Duke community.

It sounds like yer protestin this TC. Discouragement in this type of situation is a negative thing.

I'm done.

Ok, last message. I'm NOT! Goddamnit, I think it's cool people make Tc's and it looks good as well, I'm just warning you it's kinda late to start a Tc now and make it a "big" thing. Start small, once it's done and you still feel like working on it, make it bigger....

I'm done.

Roger, cool it.

Kef_Nukem, you are completely right, it is a bad time to start a Duke Nukem TC, but I don't know if that will make me any less determined to release this thing. I only want my name to appear in Duke history, albeit the dying part of the Duke history. This TC will turn out to be fun, when\if it gets released. It will be fun, I'd like for you to download it, play it. If it turns out the way I first invisioned it, it will be a new, awesome experience.

If I were to try and keep the Duke community alive, I'd lose big time. There is just too much competition against a six year old game. But I like Duke because it is so easy to modify, (art is tricky, though) and you can practically make your own game, using Duke Nukem 3D as a base. Release it for free, you'll get no trouble from 3DRealms.

Yes, Kef_Nukem, you have done alot for the Duke Nukem 3D community, and you are on of the best, I'm sure you will get your name passed on to the Duke Hallf of Fame. I hope I gain the notice and reputation you have.

Thanks but don't exaggerate things ;-) I'm pretty sure noone will remind me except from the fact that I have done Borg Nukem.

Well, good luck with your Tc.
FYI: I'm out of this Duke community.
