I downloaded mapster and there is a problem with it and with Duke 3D! The colors are all off. Like the plain brown default walls in mapster are blue! please if anyone can help me it would be appreciated.

Is there anyway to change it back? Why would it also affect the games?

It doesn't affect the game. You must be doing something wrong. If you don't tell me what exactly is wrong, I can't help you. Do you die when you run your map? (you havent set the start point right or the sector is too small). Do you get Con errors, do you get a black screen, are the sound probs? Tell me. Remember that you can only play Duke3d with 320*200 when using Windows XP.

You can change the colours back yes, but why bother?

I think he's talking about tile position 0, not the BUILD menu colors. I'm no genius, so I can't help much further.

The problem with Duke 3D is that the colors are wrong in it too. Is it possible there are two versions of mapster, because this happened when I downloaded it from a different place. (I think). I'm goning to reinstall and download mapster after I get a reply. I'm sry to just hammer at this, but these new colors are screwed up, and I love building Duke 3D maps. DNMP's prismed is too damn hard to figure out.

Maybe you should repaste palette.dat from yer Duke 3D disc. Same happened to me once and that's where the problem was.

It's not Windows XP either, the author of Mapster changed those colour settings.
