View Full Version : Web pages are screwed up now after visiting a site

I was surfing around the NOAA website looking at pics of hurricane Emily at all different resolutions (well, what resolutions they have) and afterwards websites don't fill the screen anymore and all the words are BIGGER, like I'me blind or something. My native resolution of 1280x1024 is still intact, the web pages just don't fill the browser anymore. It's like they used to adjust themselves (I've seen it do it, as the page loads) but not anymore.

How do I correct this?

Maybe you accidently changed the font sizes-

For Mozilla - View - Text Size - Normal
For IE - View - Text Size - Medium

Bingo! Now I recall a sloppy mouse drag earlier today. Musta' been it.

If you hold CTRL down and scroll with the mouse, that will normally alter the text size.

I used to do that a lot, because I use CTRL HOME/END to scroll down pages at the same time as the wheel. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

^^^ Doesn't work on this website (I just tried and thought the trick didn't work at all, but my text size had changed on the menu!), so don't be lulled into a false sense of security! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I'm just saying, that's how he caused it to happen, if he didn't manualy change it in the menu.

Sorry, I meant even if it doesn't appear to work on this website, don't be fooled into thinking it didn't work at all - you could try it here, think "it didn't work!", go to another web page and be confronted with 10-foot-high text, and think "oh noes, some1 haX0red my comptuer!!!!1"... don't say I didn't warn you http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tinyted.gif

After all, the problem the original poster faced was one that didn't manifest itself until he went to a different website, so it's possible http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
