Hi all !
I know how to make explosives with duke3d ! But what always annoys me is that those wall's textures are always stupid aligned.
I align the walls correctly in editor BUILD, when the gap is there. So I start to play and check out the wall before explosion....and it's not fitting with the other wall's texture next to it. When i blow up the wall....the texture is fine.
How to fix this ? This bugs me for a while !
Thanks !

you could use the "cieling alignment" by pressong the "o" button when pointing at the wall in 3d mode
and the reason the walls are out of allignment is because the wall that explodes is moved down like an elevator and when the "explosion"is triggerd the wall moves up verry fast (correct me if im wrong)

The wall offset can either be aligned to the ceiling or the floor - so that when these properties are changed the texture will automatically change with them. This has it's limitations but mostly people don't notice.
The important thing here is that if your walls are not aligned to the floor - then they will be aligned to the ceiling and hence as the ceiling height changes (as basically this is what a SE13 does, change the ceiling height instantaneously) the texture alignment will too.
It could be the other way around - if you change the SE13 angle the floor will be set to the ceiling height and then go down to it's original position - probably, I forget which way around these things are. It might be set to the SE height too in this mode - not the ceiling.
Either way you have to make sure your texture is aligned to the ceiling or floor respectively.

Press "o" in 3D Mode on that one wall which is misaligned in Duke. Then press, on the wall left of the one on which you just pressed "o", . (to make it clear; the button with > aboven it)
This will align the row of walls who are connected with eachother and have the same texture. Try that!
Good luck!
