I was trying to play with my friend Doom Marine and it wouldnt work. We tried Master/Slave and Peer-to-Peer. On his, when we tried Master/Slave (he was slave), it just popped up the command help for Jonof. On mine it just loaded the game like normal. Then on Peer-to-Peer it just said "Waiting For Players". We both had the latest Jonof. And we used the Multiplayer FAQ exactly like the examples say (of course using the right IP's).

Don't know, every time I try to host a game it tells me "Waiting For Players", and does NOTHING... don't know why.

Odd, it works okay to me.. /n0 then the IP command.. All went well with Hellraiser when I played some co-op.. (But got owned by two Enforcer Lizard's in LA Rumble. >>; )

Should YOU have the IP setting so you can connect to him?

Try this:

duke3d.exe -map ifyouuseamapputthisherenotafter.map /net /n0:2

thats for hte master. /n0:3 means it waist untill 3 players join.

and duke3d.exe -map ifyouuseamaputthisherenotafter.map /net /n0 192.168.0.1

or whatever the master's ip is

Multiplayer works good for me.

Why would you tell it to wait for 3 players when you're playing a 2 player game? User error. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
