I'd like to dedicate this thread to specialty news sites. You can post links, comments, questions, etcetera!

Here are three examples of specialty news sites that I have b'mark'd:
http://www.adventuregamers.com/
http://mechnexus.net/html/index.php
http://www.strategyinformer.com./

Also, post gaming hubs like Shacknews if you must, but try to keep it to certain genres of game news or other specialty news services.

I also would prefer professional sites, as I severely dislike sites with tons of banners and such.

This is more of a general news site, but it caters towards the PC enthusiast so its articles are very detailed and well written.

Shacknews is the only gaming site I visit daily. Gamespot is second; mainly for the reviews.

I used to visit BluesNews, IGN, VoodooExtreme and Gamesdomain daily, but all of the news sites have pretty much the same news now. Playful Puppy used to be a favorite even longer ago.

There was another major gaming site that I use to visit daily, but it shut down. Anyone remember it? Gamesradar sounds right, but that still exists (in the UK). Was there a U.S. version that shut down?

Yes, I think you mean Daily Radar. Daily Radar UK became Games Radar.
