I want to edit some of my old maps with SW Build.

When i hit enter to enter 3D mode the entire screen is garbled, with a billion different colored pixels. Anybody know whats up? I havent used build in years.

I am running win98, in case that helps.

any ideas? I really want to get this working.

Use kextract to extract all the .dat files from the group file, if they're not already there. If I remember correctly, you need to extract the .art files from the group as well.

OK I figured it out.

The \build\ directory contents have to be under the parent directory \sw\

I cut and paste and 3D mode is working now. Im wondering why the game came like this, putting build files under a seperate directory if they need to be in the same directory as the game data.

Only art files you need in the dir, is your own art files or duke art files that you modified. images/icons/wink.gif
