Chrome: Specforce

Has anyone else been keeping an eye on this game? Personally i enjoyed the original Chrome and had forgotten about the two follow up games, but rather quickly and quietly (and very cheaply) Specforce has been released this last week in the UK. I checked online and i can't see it in the US shops so you may have to wait.

Currently it's an almost bargain bin price £14.99 and it appears to be a standalone product and not just an add on.

If anyone enjoyed the original then it might be worth looking into this as it's not terribly expensive and it looks nice graphically.

Graphically the game looks great, but gameplay wise I don't think the game was on par with current shooters !

Two follow up games? I thought, Specforce is the first successor to Chrome? Did I miss anything? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I liked the first Chrome gameplay wise, but somehow I was never a big fan of it. I can't really explain why... could have something to do with the fact that I always felt the controls behaved "new style FPSish", more like in Halo than in Quake or NOLF.

Ah, my mistake, i thought Chrome Hounds on the Xbox 360 was set in the chrome universe....

i got the demo of this and graphically it was quite nice, but for some reason i couldn't hear my gun fire. it made it pretty unplayable to be honest. aside from that, it seems your gun is really inaccurate even zoomed in but the enemies have no trouble picking you off from miles away.

I suppose it may be fixed in the final version.... i would have thought that the weapons would be exactly the same as in Chrome.....
