It is like camera in d3d but, you don't need to 'push it' and there is a wall except camera. that's all. images/icons/smile.gif
My comp. is cel. 500 I didn't thought that blood will ever slow down it images/icons/smile.gif and never thought that it will run without slowings on my old 485dx-2s images/icons/smile.gif

I'm still not sure what it is...it's not a mirror is it? :\ That's the only thing in the game that causes me slowdown.
Sorry, i'm an idiot images/icons/grin.gif

You are right. It looks like shit now, but when it was released it was cool. It's pity that d3d doesn't have so improved build engine like blood. But people still play Duke and some Blood !

hey sorry about taking so long to reply, but I was away for the weekend.
I can't get blood to load the map, but I can open it in mapedit.
I don't think i've ever seen anything like that in blood before. Could you explain exactly what happens in that map?

Ah got it. I see now.
Is there really any use for this?

Yup, play Bloodlines (http://www.planetblood.com/bloodlines). I think they use it when you enter and when you leave the mental clinic on the first level.

Yea I haven't been here a long time ( 1 day images/icons/smile.gif )
too. So I worked a bit on this stacks and found a solution: To make wall stack properly. I'm building my school now... He HE hE it is 3-storeyed and it is difficult to make it without stacks: when you need to see a vindow form "group of sectors in void'
To wrathstalker: what's your mail? I cant access it form forums images/icons/frown.gif

I have mailed it to you images/icons/smile.gif Actually this is unbuggy example, but i still can't understand why it slows if you just copy a sector with stack. In this example it is useful to look it from mapedit in blood it is sensless but only in this map.

I thought on bloodlines they just used a standard floor/roof sector pass through thing on sloped sector.

You may be right... I haven't watched the bloodlines maps in mapedit so I'm not sure how they did it. But I just presumed it was a wall stack.
Devastator: I just thought of something... I use to have performance problems in Blood when putting transparent sprites in front of mirrors when palying in svga (640x 480 ->..)
What resolution are you playing in? Try switching to 320 * 200 and see if you still get framerate drops. I think mirrors and stacks work in the same way so that might be your problem..

I checked it in mapedit because I noticed that something happened when you cross that sector in the game. Calebs view jumps upwards briefly as you pass through the sloped sector.

if u drop to 320 x 200 it improves framerate, not drops it images/icons/grin.gif hehe a typo there Wrathstalker.
I play on 1024 x 768 (using ACR Setup) but I've now got my new hard disk so I installed Windows XP and Windows 98SE to it for MS-DOS games. All works fine apart from on certain parts of the game, it just quits for no reason like on the start of Toxic Dump, level 3 by the space marine and Critical Mass by the first set of stairs.
