He needs a 6 page interview just so everyone can know he's an idiot?
Damn, it doesn't take six pages... just three minutes of one of his filsm will convince ya.

He's right about people overreacting about his stuff though. So far I haven't really seen anything done by him that was really all that great, but it didn't seem any worse than the other average action movies that get put out from time to time.

I don't think people over react at all. House of the dead is probably the worst film I have ever seen and I watch alot of crap. And it's amazing because the technical merits of the film are quite adequete. It looks nice enough. Lit quite well. The acting sucks but I've seen far worse. tI really is a film fails completely purely due to direction. That fight with all the 3d rotations? It is so bad it goes past funny and into putrid.
I would say Boll is the worst director practicing today and probably one of the worst ever (and don't think Ed Wood. Ed wood was cheap but he doesn't even come close to some of the shit that's out there)

Lets just say.
House of the Dead
I got to the part were they tryed to find a boat. The acting was so bad I had to turn it off. I have never done this before.
Alone in the Dark
Sex scene totally random. It started good but kind of ended badly. I didn't think it was great but I had fun.
So I still give the guy a chance. I'll see BloodRayne on DVD, in theatres if the talk is good.

I've never seen one of his movies so I honestly am very curious how bad these movies are. Although, I'm not in the mood to watch crap... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I heard about the premise for Alone in the Dark and it made me laugh considering how far away from the games it was...

It seems he likes to blaim others for his own failures.

I love the way it's always someone else's fault for the movie sucking, like the studio or Tara Reid's acting (which obviously is a problem, but he should have realized that when he cast her). Of course there's nothing he could have done to make the movie work. Not to mention the way he's now criticising Alone in the Dark.... if anyone remembers the interviews he had in the pre-release "hype" for that movie, he went on about it the way he's doing now with BloodRayne, saying how it was such a "huge improvement" from House of the Dead.
Meh. At least Ed Wood was a likable guy, despite the hilariously bad movies he made.
...And I can't be the only one who felt like jumping out of my chair in praise to the lord as soon as I read this part of the interview. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
1UP: Is there a dream game license you would love to work with that you don't already have?
I'm a huge fan of Hitman and Silent Hill, but both movies are getting made now. [laughs]

the man doesn't deserve a thread let alone a six page write up
Guess most of you know this article (http://www.*****.com/articles.php?a=2649&p=) by Blair Erickson already, but I thought I'd post the link anyways. Erickson was supposed to write the script for AITD and talks about his experiences with Uwe Boll. Let's just say that Boll gets absolutely trashed by him.

I have to give him one thing: He gives a shit. He's speaking his mind, no matter how bad it makes him look.
He obviously still has a somewhat limited grasp on the english grammar, though. It's fun to watch him construct sentences like he's talking german and simply replace the words with english ones.
Well, either that or he's just a raving lunatic.
