Well its all opinion isn't it? My fav FPS is still the original Doom games and I'm sure people would argue against me. Best not to bother arguing about such little things...

I read the first couple pages and stopped. Sorry but that whole threa was idiotic when the people bought into that flaim bait. Everytime you post something from that forum it's just about someone intentionally trying to piss other people off.

Nor can I. Plenty of people have different opinions. Some of them might be very disagreeable. I've seen many Halo fanboys say it is the greatest evar!@2two.
And plenty of anti-Halo people say OMGSUXOR TEH GRUNTZ ARE FUNAY & U CN ONLEE HLD 2 GNS @ A TYME!@@.

I like that "hermit" thing BTW, I also like the following System Wars rules:

Why are we still talking about this? The only thing that isn't opinion on halo can be its graphics. The graphics aren't good compared to pc standards. (Really not it's fault it the power of X-box that held it back maybe) If you find the game fun or not is opinion. So why even argue over this? If you get annoyed by how many people like halo just look at it this way. A X-box is around $200 when a good pc is around $3,000.

I know I probably shouldn't say this but that’s not true. Half life 2 vs. doom 3 is normally on a technological note. No one is claming halo has good graphics... Half the time I really don't see what they are trying to claim.

Exactly what i'm saying. People like what they like and tend to think everyone else is retarded for not sharing their ideas. It goes all the way back to bloody grade 4 between super nintendo and sega. I heard hour long arguments in school on why half the class was stupid for owning a sega when the snes was better and vise versa.
You like what you like, i'll like what i like, we can debate it all we want civilly (sp?) but never say one person is retarded for thinking one way or another.
(for the record i like halo/hl2 and doom3 in very different ways and play them in different moods).

But most of us are not hating HALO because it's a console shooter. Most of us that say "It sucks" are talking about the PC version, which we've played.
Yesterday I loaded up HALO again, played the first level and got maybe two minutes into the second level... uninstalled.

HALO is just boring IMHO. It's a cool concept and it starts strong, but the story, lack of weapon, enemy, and level design really drags the game down.
