They're only kidding. I'm a diehard 3DR fan and I can handle people poking at the game taking so long, because I'm sure the 3DR folks have poked at it as well.

Its hard to be rude, when you are telling the truth. Prey, as much as they like to claim it is, isn't a 3drealms game anymore. Nor was Max Payne/2. In order to be a game compnay you have to make games. They haven't done that in a very, very long time.

As I thought, 3D Realms can take criticism pretty well. That's what has kept them from taking everybody's crap. They also know when they're the butt of a joke and know how to laugh at themselves. They don't let shit bother them period.

Penny Arcade makes fun of anyone, and it's in good fun. It's nothing derrogative or hateful. Hell Penny Arcade makes fun of themselves. Anyone who gets bent over this should ban themselves from the funny pages on Sunday.

Penny Arcade is a mixed bag for me. Sometimes I don't see what's so funny, and sometimes I can't control the laughter.
But if you coincide with its tastes, you find it more fun.

I have a very odd sense of humor, and Penny Arcade plays right to that. I find it helps as well if you read the newsposts with each comic.

Actually, Penny Arcade's amongst the most interesting writeups I've ever seen. Wish that I could be a regular subscriber to them, but then again, that may be an arm and a leg, too. For a snippet of information, I'd say that having a Penny Arcade clip would be the best thing in the world, let's put it to you that way. I may be interested to see what else they say about DNF.

Actually, let me rephrase my statement:

Over the course of a few years, I have found that the statements and 'jokes' they make to be in overall bad taste, also making fun of games I like. Furthermore, I love to hear jokes about games I love, but after a while certain subjects get old, then annoying, then, finally, rude. So, sure, that Duke Nukem / Prey joke WOULD HAVE been funny, had it not been the umpteenth time the did it. Keep it original guys, or you'll go the way of Garfield, long over due for the grave.


And BTW: I have a great since of humor, I LOVE <a href="www.choppingblock.org" target="_blank">Chopping Block</a> and many others.

EDIT: Oh, and, just so you know, it wasn't the Prey/DNF comment that really irked me about this particular comic, it was MGS2 one. KTHXBYE

I like plenty of games made fun of by Penny Arcade and I still read it. There's no reason to be so sensitive about the fact that two guys don't like the same games as you do.

I had forgotten about the Penny Arcade, it was funny.

Keep in mind ppl that the first DNF cartoon was done in 88 which was 3 years after "plans" for DNF (DN4) were announced. It has now almost been 10 years planning/making DNF.

So PA does a little ribbing about how long its taking. They are just overstating what a lot of us that have been watching this project (for the last 10 years) have thought.

Besides they have a sense of humor, George may remember laughing at the "WID Pizza, we will serve no pizza before it done" gag I posted 2 years ago.

OH.. Hi all, I drop by for about a week every 2 years to see how things are going. The community is a lot more civil this year than a few years back.

The PA guys used to be easy to get a hold of but then again I have been "Away" for a while so not seen anything they have done in the last few years. However their humor is a lot like a mel brooks movie. It's very funny if you don’t take it seriously and if you put your brain in neutral.
