I have been bugging my friend for years that I was going to do it. No one believed me. Now, they’ll all be sorry…
I got a TrackMan (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CA/EN,CRID=2150,CONTENTID=5002) wheel mouse and it’s amazing! Its going to take some getting used to, moving with the thumb and all but it will be worth it in the end. Has anyone else here ever used this type of ball mouse?

I don't believe I could use that for games. It'd be akin to using a trackpad in it's consistency, because you have to lift your thumb to move the ball. With a mouse, you just move around as you need.

I have the sensitivity set so that you rarely have to take your finger of the ball. I’m not going to lie, it’s hard but I’m getting better at it every day.
Is it just me or does that sound inappropriate?

I hate those things. I can use them all right, but its hard to be accurate. It is fine for everyday use but I wouldn't use that for gaming.

I just played Quake 3 arena with the trackman and it was fun! I even railed some bots with it lol. That was the first time I had played a game with a mouse like this and if you practice a little bit believe it or not you can be accurate. Just takes time.

I have a friend with two of those things. They're ok, but I can't be bothered getting used to them. Oh and they are way more accurate, as they use 3 optical sensors instead of just one.
