I have got to the Fright Yard part of Blue Shift and have found that the door that should open does not!!!

After a bit of a search I found some old posts about the same problem on the original version, where they say the only solution is to unclip and walk through the door. Can you do the unclip thing in steam, if so how?

Hopefully they will release a patch for it soon, because if they are using the original unpatched version of blue shift then I guess there are likely to be other problems too.

Maybe I'll just wait a bit and try it again later when it's better patched...

You need to access the console by pressing the ~ key (upper left corner of your keyboard) then type "sv_cheats 1" and press ENTER then type "noclip" and press ENTER. Close the console (press ~ ), walk through the wall, then reenable clipping by opening the console and issuing the "noclip" command again.

If you can't access the console then you need to modify your start-up settings. In Steam, right-click the Blue Shift entry and select "Properties" then click "Launch Options" or "Advanced Options" or something like that. You should see a simple text entry box. In there enter "-console" without the quotes.

Thats odd....I finished the original blue shift without any knowledge of such bug.

Same here, no bugs when I played the original retail version.

I did run into a problem with the Steam version: The lift from the sewage canal isn't working, even though I've been up to the top of the map to turn the power on.

I'm going to try loading an earlier save and playing that section again.

That worked for me. It's the first time I have played through Blue Shift, it's not bad.

I will look forward to playing it though again once they have the hi-res and some of the problems patched http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
