Level Secrets

Now i must get duke 3d again i palyed it constantly for years, then i got a new computer and I had lost the cd to install it again.


But my memory is vague, but i always remember some wierd shit i found on some of the levels


one of the wierdest is on one of the lunar levels. and you can use the jetpack to fly down like a face of a rock and into a cave.

Then there is some man in the room says something like "welcome dr kliener" and then the room starts falling in...wtf is that all about...can anyone remember?


Also wha other great secrets are in duke 3d?

The first one (E2L7, Lunar reactor) is a reference from Star Wars (There is Luke Skywalker with Stormtrooper costume hanging from the roof). Duke says "This is a force to be reckoned with" when sees him.

The second one (E3L8, Hotel hell) is a reference to Indiana Jones. The impaled guy is -ehh- Indiana Jones, and Duke says "We meet again, Dr. Jones" when sees him.

i need to get the game again, are there any UK distributors anymore? i see you buy on the site, but i can't use my creditcard since its maxed out.

Also, 'Warp Factor', level in E2 (Don't remember which, but its one of the first few) theres a hidden elevator that takes you to the bridge of the Enterprise. Duke says, "Looks like I have the conn." when you enter. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Episode 2 level 3

Go into the area that is like the "sub bridge". When you come up the conveyor, look to yor right to see a lighted panel. Press it. Look up. THere is a switch at the top. Shoot it, and then go to the left about halfwat around (in releation to the conveyor, go back to hte conveyor, look straight ahead as if you were coming up again, and go left) and there should be a section of computer bank htat falls away. Inside is the elevator. Go in it and press space.

You are then ihn teh bridge of hte USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D

Extra secret: In the Captain's "really ready" room, look for the message written on the side of the bed.

Also, in Atomic edition there are a lot of easter egg secrets, like this one in "E4L8 - Critical mass". It's Homer Simpson's office, in sector 7-G
