The Popular Media Recommendations Thread

I've seen people ask here and there (myself included) for recommendations concerning various movies or albums. So, I thought that it would be a good idea to have a separate thread for this sort of thing. A thread where you can ask for opinions about albums, info on movies similar to a specific movie, recommendations on artists in a specific genre, etc. If you do not have any personal opinions or recommendations, you could always try helping out by for example directing the poster to reviews.

Anyway, I’ll start. I would like to get some recommendations on bands similar to Slumber (http://www.slumber.se). If you've never heard the band, then just click the name and you can download some samples on their homepage. The closest I can think of would be Katatonia.

When i first heard them, i think Cradle of Filth. But then listening to the whole samplers, im not quite sure. Cadle of Filth has more singing then deep throated screaming dont they?
