Not for me. The only thing Sony had was GTA exclusivity, and it's not even exclusive anymore. Ultimately, I don't think it makes a difference which of these two you buy. The games will all be the same, and will be dumbed down to the level of the weaker hardware. Microsoft has the advantage online IMO. Nintendo is the only company offering an alternative to the single player experience.

So, you buy an Xbox360 or a PS3, and add the Revolution to it. 2 consoles for everyone, and you'll be able to play 99.9% of all console games.

I think the multi-core differences in the two biggies will make multi-platform developers to cater to the lowest denominator, however, I think that first party content will be so specialized, that even if contracts were not in place, it would be tough to port.

Things like Jak and Daxter and Rachet and Clank come to mind. Those are so specialized and built only for ps2, they would never run that well unless completely rebuilt for the xbox or cube. Many devs have commented about the multi-core and separate designs loads of the two consoles, and it makes sense that a game or developer that is dedicated to only one console will be able to produce games much more specialized and impressive than the multi-plats.

Having said all that, it's the PS3 and Rev for me. However, I may not be able to make it through the holiday without buying an xbox. I'm trying to distract myself with great, old, cheap games for the current gen that I've not played.

The only game that really has my attention is "Dead Rising".
In the second place, "PGR 3" looks nice.
I don't put here Resident Evil, because right now isn't really clear when will come to the Xbox360.

December 10th is the japanese release.

I used to be that way too but Nintendo has been on the downward swing since the N64 came out. I no longer hold much hope of seeing anything worthy of my time from Nintendo.

You should give them a chance, it seems that they're putting a lot of work doing something interesting for the Revolution... perhaps in the TGS we'll se something.

In my opinion, the GameCube was better than the PS2 and the X-Box. Nintendo still makes great systems and great games. Their problem seems to be marketing or some other business stuff; their products are still great.

I'll get both the 360 and the PS3. I just hope Sony gives us the option to have a better controller, cause the PS3 controller looks very uncomfortable.

Their products are still few. Sure gamecube had great titles... a FEW great titles. Love nintendo's games but they need MORE goddam dev's with great ideas. It would also help if they tried pushing the envelope for a change.

Hopefully, for Nintendo's sake, they don't use outdated or limited technology like they did with their last 2 consoles.

The 64 used carts, so the textures were aweful, the res was low, and the system never could do good sounding music.

The Gamecube had those tiny DVD's, so it just couldn't hold as much information as a PS2 or XBox disc, and it couldn't play DVD movies, or even CD's due to the small drive.

Also, I hated the design and feel of the controllers for those systems, along with the lack of M rated games (and unedited games).

I disagree. Maybe every american title. But I believe Sony still has the greater part of the Japanese developers doing exclusives for them.

To be quite honest i only included it since a lot of people are into it. Me personally didn't care too much for the origonal and quite frankly don't care too much about the sequal. Gimme halo3 over perfect dark any day... I'm very excited for PG3 and oblivion most of all.

Nintendo come up with what's probably going to be remembered as the worlds first really good alternative to the mouse.

Sony have made a beast of a machine...

MS have made a 360!!! I still don't see what the 360 has apart from a 6-8 month head start. Once the others come out the 360 is going to look dated.

I don't think so, but only time will tell. I don't trust Sony with their Blu Ray discs and "cell processors". That just sounds to ambitious (sp?) to me. It sounds like they will have serious trouble. Either way, I'm sure to get the 360 and the ps3.

All three consoles have the cell processor and at least Sony are waiting till the technology it ready rather than release a quick fix console which will be patched with a better HD-DVD player if they ever get off the ground.

Only the PS3 will have the Cell processor, unless for some strange reason Nintendo decides to license it from Sony. You're getting confused between the Cell processor and its general processing core (the PPC), which the Xbox 360 has 3 of.
