I am having a little problem with Daemon Tools v0.347. I just recently installed Anti-Blaxx just for a test and had it on their for a couple of days. Then i noticed Daemon Tools kept coming up with some stupid error regarding one of it's files.

I uninstalled Ant-Blaxx and Daemon Tools and wanted to start from Scratch, but now when I try to install Daemon Tools it comes up with the error (seen below). No matter what drive I install it on, it comes up with this error.

I have tried using RegCleaner, RegSupreme, Sys Mechanic 4 registry cleaner. I don't know whats wrong... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've no idea what Ant-Blaxx is, but the likely problem is related to that, perhaps more than Daemon Tools. It has probably left some stuff in the registry - or even elsewhere, that the regular uninstall hasn't got rid of. Try your registry cleaners in relation to that as opposed to Daemon Tools. Also bear in mind that the conflict could be cd/dvd burning software related - not all of it will necessarily work well with Daemon. Have you updated anything like that recently?

OK - just found out a bit more about Anti-Blaxx, which seems most likely where the problem lies.

I got all my programs to get rid of all the Registry files. Still no luck... Any other ways???

And system files that may need to be deleted???

Anything at all?

Got a similiar problem yesterday when i was reinstalilng daemon tools apparently i had gotten starforce on my system (probably from BF2 i dunno) and when installing i got a bluescreen, i rebooted and tried doing the install again but it refused to do a complete reinstall but insisted to continue the previous install but always stopped with that same error. I checked their help forums and and found the ecaxt problem i then proceeded to upgrade the starforce driverd which were causing problems ( normally i'd had gotten rid of the crap right away but i'm not sure what game uses it but i think it's BF2 which i play alot and probably won't work without starforce). After that i still couldn't complete the installation, kept getting the same error. Found another solution on their forums which explained how to manually remove all the stuff the installation could have left in which made it impossible for a clean reinstall. After that it got it working. But because the cause of my problem is not the same as yours i recommend you find an answer to your problem here:

Don't post a new topic but search through the old ones. there surely is a similiar problem there with a solution for your problem.

I'm running BF2 here and Daemon tools, no problems..

I haven't heard anything about it having starforce either.

"If you look at the Deamon-tools forum and you search for Anti-blaxx you can see that many people have the same problem as I do. Why you don't answer us? It will mess up the scsiport.sys device with Deamon-tools."

This was taken from the Anti-Blaxx 'bugs' forum. There doesn't appear to be much of a work around available. From what little I've been able to glean, it appears that the problem is related to unmounting the virtual drive - which is probably why the scsiport.sys device driver is mentioned. ATM I haven't got any useful suggestions to fix the problem - although it may be worth trying to delete that file - but for goodness sake make sure you copy it elsewhere first.

I've just found Deamon Tools and I like it. Although I can't make ISOs from some of my games. Damn you SafeDisc!

It's possible.
