Ok, so it wasn't as bad as the title suggests, but I was not really impressed with the Robert Plant concert last night.

So the tickets were like $75 a pop (I didn't pay for mine so I can't REALLY complain about that) and the night started off with a Canadian band, called The Trews, who I sort of thought were going to be some lame tiny boppin band, but in all honestly- they sounded pretty good.

So, with all anticipation up, Plant was late coming on stage. And...well though his voice sounded amazing, and pretty much the same as his Zepp days, his choice of a play list was completely dissapointing. Not to mention the fact that the complete set was only 90 minutes. And for 75 bones, c'mon?

I guess I was kinda expecting him to play alot more Zeppelin, rather then his new stuff (which is ALRIGHT, but nothing that great).

So, IMO I thought it was an alright show. He still sounded fantastic, the stage has a nice feel to it ,and it was our first time going to a show at the new MTS center..

I mean, he didn't even play Stairway to Heaven, which the whole crowd was chanting for at the end...

Who knows why he didn't, but....I'm saddened by the lac of Led he let out.

I'm jealous that you got to see him.

I wish, oh I wish, that I could take a little time trip to 1971, Cali.

Those were the days..

I do get my own little Zeppelin concerts at home though, between the DVD-A discs, "How the West Was Won", and the DVD of their concerts, all in DTS surround brilliance for all 314 minutes.

I love my home theater system. It's like you're there...without the contact high. I guess one can fix that.

He's too old to go on for hours. He's 58...heck, I'm shocked that he can sing anymore.

I think he didn't play alot of Led Zeppelin songs because he is trying to show respect to the other members of the band, those who passed and those who haven't. Because honestly those songs are Led Zeppelin, you can take a piece like Stairway, but in ultimate it boils down to Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John "Bonzo" Bonham. I think he does it for class and at least he has it.
