Hi will there ever come a followup for the greatest racing game I've ever played: Wacky Wheels. I've never had so much fun racing as with that game, especially in multipalyer mode together with my friends. Plz say there will be :Þ

I also hope there will be a nice followup to this game. But I think they would have made it already if there were serious plans for it... :-(
P.S.
What do you think about Rally Speedway, my favourite?

There are no plans for a followup to that. However, have you tried Death Rally? It's a pretty cool racing game. And, you can get the full version dirt cheap direct from us, too.

Oh come on, Joe, seriously. Wacky Wheels is so cool because it's so innocent.
I wish there was a sequel too, but it's not gonna happen.

My point exactly-
"It's innocent, so Apogee won't have anything to do with it"

Well, don't get your hopes up or anything, but I plan to make a game like that somewhere along the path (probably in a few years when all my other projects are finished), I plan on making a Death Rally type game if I ever get started on it, maybe since it's not started yet I could have it be like Wacky Wheels... who knows, forget I typed this, since I won't be doing anything in that genre for a while.

TALK TO ID SOFTWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apogee/3D Realms has little, if any control of a sequal to this game. Telling Joe you want another one won't do us any good. It'll just make his fuse shorter. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif

I wasn't talking to Joe. I know he can't do anything about it.
I was a talking to Steven, who was proposing to make an UNOFFICIAL Wacky Wheels game.

That's precisely why management here wouldn't be interested in doing it.

I think you're a little confused Xhuman666, 3D Realms has little control over Wacky Wheels, and Beavis Soft has full control.
It's Commander Keen that ID contols (the stingy bastards)

They disappeared. They said they were going to make a game-maker, but it never materialized.

You could consider Mario Kart 64 similar in gameplay to Wacky Wheels. I know the content for both is very different but the basic gameplay (inventory, cute characters, non-serious race sim, etc.) are there.

It's a pity that there won't be a follow up to Wacky Wheels. I got the full version recently and it really is a fantastic game.
Another game similar to Wacky Wheels is Skunny Kart by copysoft. Wacky Wheels is a LOT better but if you've been playing that for a while and want another game similar in style then Skunny Kart is probably your best bet.

I feel that 3DRealms should make a new kart-ing game based on the Duke Nukem universe, could you imagine Duke in a realy small go-kart packing big guns and chasing down oposition and blowing them up real good. (M rating anyone), all in 3D

Why are you all asking to make new game? They have not even time enough to finish DNF!
Maybe if there are some programmers here, who really, really like to see the game upgraded, they should offer their service to 3DR for free. Ask for the source, finish the game and let it be released by Apogee. Than even the 3DR image of violence wont be hurt.

offer the service for FREE?.....
NOT
GONNA
HAPPEN
It's not really for free,
1 you got your game
2 you do not pay in the shop, because you made it yourself
3 You will be honoured and respected and immortal
That should be enough. Not?
