hahaha yeah this film has been in production comming on a decade now. They were going to shoot last year but they struck a deal to shoot in the new Melbourne studios... which are not yet built. This kinda of thing has been happening for years. I'd be surprised if it ever starts shooting.

That's been indevelopment hell for YEARS. I've been following Red Dwarf since Series II was the current series. They've been talking about this since about the time they started making Series 7.
At this point, I'll believe it when I see it. Go to the official red Dwarf site and read the "Movie Deck".

The cast are getting on a bit, especially Craig Charles, he's just past forty. I alway imagine Lister as being younger than that - late twenties at the oldest.

In the original series he was meant to be 25. I don't know if they ever explicitly stated passage of time on the show. I don't THINK it's supposed to be like the Simpsons where they're supposed to be stuck in time.
