i'm playing around in Max2. I'm experimenting using basic primitives and shaping them into body parts. I'm also using NURBS to create some parts. Also, im using CartoonReyes to possibly shade the image in a cell like image. Really all i'm doin is just playin around..

[Image of Burpfish removed as it crashes Netscape 4.5]

Add Netscape Communicator 4.5 to the things that the Dopefish likes to eat. Every time I come to this thread in NC4.5, it crashes!

In Win98, it gives the "This program has performed an illegal operation..." message, and I had to reboot to clear it. In WinNT4, the Navigator window just freezes solid, and I had to bring up the Task Manager to kill it, but it didn't take the OS with it.

The problem also occurs when the burpfish.gif file is displayed locally with NC4.5, and when visiting www.dopefish.com.

I've seen this happen on 2 different computers with 2 different OSes, so there's definitely a problem somewhere. One of my crashes on Win98 launched a troubleshooter that sent information back to Netscape, so hopefully they can figure out the problem.

Weird. Only thing I can think of that's causing that is something in the animated GIF code that NS doesn't like.

That Dopefish I put there is from www.dopefish.com. I got it from the images directory.

It isn't a Netscape 4.5 problem. I never have problems accessing the message boards using Netscape 4.5 (or have had problems using 4.01, 4.04, 4.05 or 4.07), but I must admit that Netscape 3.01 usually crashes or "hangs" the system when accessing these forums.

The Burpfish graphic was one I created quite some time ago. It's worked fine up until now. I'll see if I can fix it. It's probably just a Netscape 4.5 problem, though. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif

I'm talking about the Burpfish graphic. Not a forum problem.
