Boredom comes and goes....but anyway...


What games would you recommend people play this halloween for a good scare or maybe just something creepy or spooky? List them here.

My picks would be:

F.E.A.R. (Of course, Alma is really spooky)
Doom 3 (Its got some decent spooks....maybe)
Gabriel Knight series
Ripper (FMV game by Taketwo)
Return to Zork (believe me...this game is kind of earie for some reason....maybe the music?)
Monster Bash (a given isn't it?)
Quest for Glory 4

Atypical perhaps, but Hitman 3. Very dark and atmospheric of the series.

Yesterday I started playing System Shock 2 for the first time (one of the horrors involved getting it to play in the first place http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif).

All I can say is once you get used to the old graphics that's one hell of a game! The hybrids scare the crap out of me. I was wandering slowly down a corridor because I could hear someone saying ''im sorry'' in a really wierd way....so I turn around and nearly fall out of my chair when I see it running at me waving a lead pipe, all in a split second!! What's cool is that moments like those arnet even scripted.

I've only played the first episode of Monster Bash, I loved it years ago.
Blood is fantastic, and I can't get it to work either.
And I'm not going to be able to run FEAR until 4 days after Halloween.
I know there are plenty of good ones I forgot, but I can't remember which ones.
