I was looking through some text files this morning, and found this. Check it out. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

If you play the shareware version of Rise of the Triad, and finish it,
you get a somewhat lengthy end title sequence. There are some comments
about buying the registered version of the game, followed by some
silliness. If you watch the credits all the way through, you get to see
all of this. The messages changed slightly in v1.0, v1.1, & v1.2. v1.3
had the same text as v1.2. What would happen is one of the lines would
scroll onto the screen, stay there a few seconds, and then scroll off,
whence the next one would scroll on. Anyway, here's all of the text:

Anyways I was playing ROTT for the first time in many a year, when I opened a door and I remembered that sound..... It's also in DOOM 64. The same edzact sound. I remember thinking how cool it was in DOOM with it's creepy dark gloom (DOOM 64 that is). Do you guys know Midway stole your sound?

I got the v1.2a registered version of ROTT for 5 bucks at a swap meet, then I payed 7 bucks for another copy while overlooking the registered copy for TV (Terminal Velocity).

Why'd I buy a second copy? For a friend. Unfortunately I can't give it to him since he never sees me anymore.

And he's always wanted the full version of ROTT...
