Main Features:

* It can create a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mount it as a real disk.

* It can encrypt an entire hard disk partition or a device, such as USB memory stick, floppy disk, etc.

* Provides two levels of plausible deniability, in case an adversary forces you to reveal the password:

1) Hidden volume (more information may be found here).

2) No TrueCrypt volume can be identified (TrueCrypt volumes cannot be distinguished from random data).

* Encryption algorithms: AES-256, Blowfish (448-bit key), CAST5, Serpent (256-bit key), Triple DES, and Twofish (256-bit key). Supports cascading (e.g., AES-Twofish-Serpent).

* Based on Encryption for the Masses (E4M) 2.02a, which was conceived in 1997.

Further information regarding the features of the software may be found in the documentation.

This freeware program lets you create encrypted volumes of any size on your computer. You can choose any filename for an encrypted volume, i.e. "BackupGames.zip" which lets you hide things in plain sight.

Once the volume is mounted, it shows up in Windows explorer as a virtual disk drive. Data going to and from the volume is encrypted and decrypted on-the-fly using one of several algorithims you choose when you create the original volume.

Encrypted volumes can be either files or disk partitions. (You will probably want to use container files, unless you have an entire hard drive to protect)

You can also create an additional hidden volume within the encrypted volume (using the outer volume's freespace). Another feature is that in addition to using a password, you can also designate any existing file or directory on your hard drive to act as a keyfile. (So you need both the keyfile AND the password to access the volume).

Freeware. Check it out. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I noticed one other nice thing: each encrypted volume has its own trashcan. When I was using ScramDisk, anything I deleted from the encrypted volume went straight into the regular Windows trashcan. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif That kind of defeats the point of the program.

I like doing things the old way make a copule fake pattitions and use the local loopback device in linux for encryption http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif but there is an added bonus, even if you get my password and username you still cant get thows drives to decrypt, the key is my USB memorykey without it there is no way to decrypt the drives (i've tryed) LOL I lost my usb memorykey once and I had to refomat everything, it was the only way i could actully use thows drives again.
