MP1 does not load levels

hi i've got a bit of a problem...:(
i've bought a new computer and i installed MP1...
it's a Gygabite 3000 1Gb RAM , and 128 GeForceFX 5200
i set all my options to high
i start the game and i select new game

what should i do? i have winXp pro and it's running in compatibillity mode for win2000
i installed patch 1.05 but with the patch i can't even get to the menu...an error occurs http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Mind telling me the error you get?
MP1 works fine on XP Pro without compatibillity mode set.

All of my options are set to high, didn't change them, not once. I also have a 128 GeForce FX 5200, 512MB RAM & MP1 version 1.05. I haven't had a problem with running it.

the one with Send and Don't Send
i know it works fine with winXP i played it before on winXP but on this computer it doesn't work...i'm not the only one with this problem...there's another thread like this one
