well, i have Apple Cinema Display "20 and if i want to play some game without stretched or borders, then i must search for hacked .exe or some .dll file(s) from widescreen gaming forums. as we all know, the more time moves on, the more games are going to be support these resolutions. (for example my default is 1680x1050)

i guess DNF is going to be support it, or what do you think? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I remember there was a thread somewhere, where we discussed about the FOV (Field Of View) in DNF... George stated that they would support it...

Now, i suppose FOV could be added on a bigger screen too... Altough, that's not really answering your question... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif

FOV is stretching ingame picture -- like action, what you are doing etc..

for example if you use FOV in RtCW, then it changes ingame screen, but "interior" is still out of proportions/rate. (in my display case)

Well, iirc GB did say that DNF will support widescreen comps, although I don't know it will keep all the relative sizes correctly.

That's true, but George said that he knew many games did it 'in a wrong way'... He said that the game Pariah, was one of the few games with FOV support that did it right... And that's somehow it'll be in DNF...

Wait a sec, i'll try to find the thread... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

[EDIT:] Found it, Read this (http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=dnf&Number=927809&Searchpage=1&Main=927667&Words=FOV&topic=&Search=true#Post927809) whole thread (don't worry, it's only one page http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif) I think it answers your question... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
