Does't it blow that the PC market is so small that this great game doesn't get any commercials until the PS2 and the XBOX versions are released.
Saw Max Payne commercial on the TNN channel last night.

I knew the minute a Playstation 2 / Xbox MP I knew there would be MP commercials.

When something reaches the larger market - consoles over computer - the ads start hitting.

that's what enrages me. pc games are always gonna be better than console games yet they only advertise it for consoles! but i will watch for a hitman 2 commercial, if it's gonna be put on network. me no cable.

MP will suck when you use a control pad, you can't get the pefect turn that you do out of a Mouse and keyboard! with a Control pad you got 4 fingers working, with a mouse and keyboard you got 7, somtimes 8 fingers working!

You guys are missing the biggest reason they advertise console games and not PC games on TV. Consoles are played on TVs. PC games are played on PCs (duh!). Advertisers reach the gamers on the screen where they do their gaming. PC gamers get their "news" on what's out in their world of games on the Internet. There is no point in advertising on TV because it would be redundant and therefore a waste of money. Console owners may not even have a PC, or may not play much in the way of PC games or be savvy enough to visit a gaming site to see the advertising disguised as news. They have to be reached via the medium on which they play their games. PC games actually get advertised way more than console games, just not on TV.

As an example, how many people on this forum aren't aware of most of the upcoming games for the next 2 years for the PC that they are interested in? Not many. We all know what's coming down the pipe. While an ad for Duke Nukem Forever on TV would be cool once it's finally out, I doubt it would do much to boost sales. Most people who are going to buy it based on advertising already decided a year or more ago whether or not they were interested. PC gamers and console gamers are a different breed of gamer at times, so they have to be reached in different ways.

The other reality is that a big part of what is being sold in console TV ads is often not the game. It's the system. It's not always the game developer who is advertising, but often the console producer. Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft spend mucho bucks on advertising to get you to lock yourself into their system so they can continue to juice you for the cost of games down the line. In contrast, since the PC as a piece of hardware has no real competition, nor does it have a single producer of hardware, nobody is spending dollars to push the hardware because there is nothing to "lock you into".

So, it's not because PC games are any less important to the overall gaming market than console games that they don't get TV ads. They simply are geared to a different kind of consumer and the companies that profit from them make their money in a different way than do the console makers.

No, I find the controls easy to use. I've only played the Xbox version(and beat it), so I can't vouch for the PS2 version.
