View Full Version : 3DS Max Animating Question

Hi 2 everybody!

I tried for weeks now to make reloading animation
where the gun spins (terminator 1 like).
but i just don't get it...

1. milkshape is only good for modeling right?

2. how to animate in 3ds Max any good tuts for use
with mp2 would help (link?)

3. Maybe a bit off-topic but is it hard to get a model
ingame? I mean what do i have to do except making
the model (that part is finished)

Any Help would be nice!

No idea, ask somebody like TerminX who had already made a minigun in their Cinema mod (I might be wrong too).

Milkshape is only good for exporting. My salute for a handfull of people who use it to do quality animations for MP1.

The 3dsmax official Reference Document and Tutorial should be more than enuf.

..... you have to re-script some scripting files, ie alter some parts of the official script files.

What do you mean by re-scripting?
What files?

I thought it might be enough to attach the bones to the model...

It's not that easy right?

is it the same procedure if you just change the head of an existing model?

I'm sorry I can't explain the term "scripting" here; mainly coz I'm also more of an artist and least of a coder. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
