Keen graphics, sounds, etc.

I have looked around for quite some time for some kind of extractor to extract the stuff in Keen. How else would people be able to put the graphics on their sites.

To Geoff: Are you planning on making KMO for Keen 2&3. It would be great to edit those levels. The levels are so much more interesting than Keen 1.

I don't know how you can "Extract" then directly from the files.. I just use screenshots, and I know you can record the sounds, I'm not sure how - no I'm not doing anymore work on KMO.. sorry!

Well, the Keen art on our web site was done by me, because I had access to the raw art files because Tom Hall was working here at the time.

I don't know if I have legal recourse to just release all the raw Keen art - I'd have to ask.

Well I was searching around for some more Keen sites and found "All you can Eat Commander Keen". Good site infact. Well I downloaded something from there. The file names was keen5.til and keen6.til. Does anybody know anything about them? How could I use them? Another thing. If you've heard of Klik & Play, where can I get it? Actually let me tell you the whole story.

I downloaded ck2000.zip. I played the game. I thought it was totally awesome. When I quit the game it had some info on Klik and Play. I thought it would be a nice program to get so I could make a Keen4000 leaving A.R. the one that made the game, a slot for Keen3000. At the bottom of the window it said; "To order call Maxis at 1-800-33-MAXIS. So I did. I asked for the program and they said they didn't have it on their order screen. Later I started looking on Maxis' website and they support Klik & Play. The creators are Europress but that's in Europe. I went to their site and saw the CD case of Klik and Play and it had the Maxis logo on it. Also I saw Klik and Play for only 10.00 (not knowing this was a UK site). I clicked on the program I wanted and then I noticed that the money signs were different. Also if I were going to order from UK that would be $25 for S&H. I also emailed the guy that made CK2000 asking if he could tell me where to get it. This program should be freeware. That's what the thing said after I quit CK2000. He is not online unless anymore unless he has a new email address. So that's the story of my experience with the attemptive order.

It even has the source code of a program which can make wav-files out of sounds.ck1. I tried to compile the program. Then I executed the program and it works, but after the first sound it keeps repeating the second sound. If someone could correct the program, mail it to me. I mailed the author of the page, but he couldn't help me, because he doesn't use Dos or Windows. He gave me some tips, but that didn't help me. I need to mail again sometimes. I tried that program and the other programs on the site on some other Ted5 games, like Paragon, Rescue Rover and Slordax and it works.
I hope someone could make an editor for the graphics and sounds.
