Go to it man! The Dopefish community has been awaiting a 3D Dopefish for some time, but I'm afraid the Duke Nukem 3D version didn't look good enough, and my friend has seemed to have lost interest in creating his. I thought he was doing a pretty good job at it though.

As far as I can tell, the only part of the article is what I have scanned in. The place where it appears is in a section dedicated to a lot of freeware utilities and screen savers, and I was just one small mention out of them.

If you're referring to my friend who was creating the 3D Dopefish, he's no longer doing that. Guess he's lost enthusiasm.

So, we need a new volunteer. One that will become rich and famous (well, maybe not rich and probably not too famous either) in creating a "kick ass" 3D Dopefish.

I finished my 3D Dopefish. I just whipped it up in about 10 minutes, using CorelDRAW 7.0. There's a slow loading 24-bit bitmap here:

That's pretty cool, but I'm actually looking for an entire 3D model of the Dopefish, so that you can turn him in all directions, I guess sorta like the VRML Dopefish.

I'm thinking of an importable/exportable file of some standard 3D modeller, so that it can be shared among the masses and used in renderings (for example, an underwater image of the Dopefish slowly approaching).

If the Dopefish was modeled in 3D Studio Max the file could be converted into a kickass player model for just about any modern 3D shooter. I would do it if I could just figure out how to use 3DSMAX. I just wanted to say that the Dopefish Club is 2nd place in the Classic Gaming Clubs section, and is being beaten by the Sierra Classic Games. >=\ Now Atari can beat Apogee classics sure, but not Sierra. So show the world you still play vintage Apogee games and join the ranks of the Dopefish Cult. I need 11 more members to beat the Sierra Classic Games. We have 35 members, they have 45.
