Every time I die in Keen 4, I exit and go back to my saved game so that I haven't lost any lives. Does anyone else do this or am i just weird? http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif

I've always done that, too. I even keep my saves from previous levels, which is a good thing, since the first time I played Keen 4, I ran out of ammo in one of the Pyramids. Going back a few levels and playing more conservatively sure beats restarting the game!

Umm... well if you ask me, I think if you do that all the time it defeats the purpose of the game, but.. apart from that, wasn't that one of the reasons they incorporated a Save feature into it? So if you die, you can try again? http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif
All the time. I have a lot of really annoying distractions when I try to play Keen, so my concentrations would lapse, I'd die, and couldn't continue.

I'm glad games support stuff like this, now. I can remember playing Lode Runner for over 12 hours straight on the Commodore 64. I think the highest I ever got was to level 141 out of 150. Sometimes, I'd die, but a lot of the time something would overheat, and the computer would lock up. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif

The only time i save is when I'm past a really hard part, or at the end of a level.
