This is only for people that know exactly where I can get Klik & Play. I don't want any "I wish I knew too" or "Yeah tell me too" or maybe even "Sorry I can't help you there". All I want is a straight answer. You know how desparate I was in the old thread. I even got myself in a little trouble with Joe. So like I said, don't post a message here if you don't know where to find Klik & Play.

I know where to find it, cyber exchange, but buy C++, Visual Basic, something that'll get you farther in life. Java, that's free. READ A BOOK! >=\
Trust me, Klik and Play isn't that great. You feel better if you program a game yourself.

Thanks! There's some good news and some bad news though. Good news: I know where to find it. Bad news: I don't have a Cyber Exchange in my area. I live in Cape Girardeau, MO. Is their any way I can buy it off the internet? Besides Europress. I can't find it at Maxis' store.

You could wait for Cyber Exchange to get their catalog online (they've been saying they'll have one there since '96, and it still isn't there yet...)

Well I don't really know how much longer I can wait. It'll be 3 weeks this Sunday since I first wanted Klik & Play. I just wish life could be easier.
Samus, could you please do us a favor and NOT bold/quote at the beginning of your posts, it's annoying. BTW, bold quotes are bad anywhere, but at the beginning is the worst.

I do this only to title my messages. If I am going to repeat someone's message then I wouldn't bold it. It's not that annoying. If you can't stand it then don't look at it. Easy and simple. What does this have to do with Klik & Play? HMMMMMMMMMMMM.

*sigh*
ANYWAY...
A few months ago (like 12 or 15 http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif) I fell in love with Klik-n-Play and all associated games. Hell, I downloaded them even though I didn't play them... you know how it is when you get obsessed with a certain tool and get everything ever made with it... http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif
I couldn't find a copy to save my soul, so I went to the maxis website. Apparently, they were having a spring cleaning sale (even though it was still winter?) and they had TONS of products for $1.99. Sure, most of them were foreign language versions of SimTower, but they had a few good ones. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif
Back to the point, one of them was Klik-n-Play, so see if they have a bargain bin area on their site still.

Well Mr. Wallace you are a big help. I can't thank you enough for what you posted. I think as a reward if I should find Klik & Play then you get to be my first tester for the games I make. No one else will test before you. That is if I find it. Well wish me luck! http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif

You can get Klik and Play for 10 UK Pounds (approx. $25.00) at europress.co.uk.
(PS) I'm in Canada. It would be like $15.00 US.

I think Maxis have scrapped it, but come, let me tell you a better idea.
Klik & Play is a basic version of 'The Games Factory'. I don't think TGF ever got out of the UK. You might have it over there as 'Corel Click & Create' which is pretty expensive. TGF lets you distribute your games as freeware, that is the only difference from C&C apart from the price.
My advice is to order TGF for 50 UK pounds like I did from www.europress.co.uk

If you live outside of UK it's $25.00 S&H. I would be spending $35.00 on this. Well it's probably worth it.

It isn't, could we just drop this subject, learn to program instead, you can make games that are a lot better that way http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif. K&P is a PoC, you got me? (I just said that last part to make all the lines rhyme... heh)

Well to spend a couple $100 is something I don't have the money for plus I really don't have patience for things like that. Oh ya it just slipped my mind. I got a new user name. Bye now.

What? $25 and shipping/handling for a 10 pound game? That's INSANE! If the import/export taxes are included in the shipping charge (which I imagine they would be), then, according to the latest exchange rates, we should pay no more than $16.11 for Klik-n-Play.

Get MultiMedia Fusion instead, this is KnP 3 and it can do so much more. It sould be easy to find in stores.
BTW The Games Factory will be released as shareware soon.
Go to www.clickteam.com (the creators of KnP, MMF etc) to read more.
