I've wondered about this for awhile. In Cosmo 1, Level 6, (the ice level) when you climb up and get past the shooting plant on the wall, where the blue blobs fall down there are a few colored pixels that you can stand on. They look like part of a different picture. This shows up in the demo too. Was this put in by mistake or what, and if not what is that supposed to be?

I have to say I'm not entirely sure what this is referring to.

That looks like a video blurp. I'm not sure how to explain that.

I have only seen this when I play via Windows.
Does this happen when you are in a True Dos Prompt?

On my shareware copy of it that I got a looong time ago, that never happened. It was before Windoze was very popular.

The stupid program wouldn't even load in true DOS, the screen just froze. But it's interesting to note that in the Demo, Cosmo *does* jump over that stuff, whatever it is, as opposed to walking right through it. I tried to take a screenshot of the demo, but when I looked at it it was just the level background without Cosmo in it! btw, I think this was mentioned before and turned down already http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif but can't Apogee re-release these classics for windows? I'm not a programmer so I have no clue what I'm talking about, but maybe if there was a cheap way to reprogram a few lines to make it run in windows then put out a registered patch...? and just wondering: I haven't played any Duke since the Duke 3D shareware; do the new ones run in Dos or is the start bar still visible?

Well yeah, the games COULD be ported to Windoze, but first off, why? Where are the advantages to it? And second off, the toss the source code once they have the finished product, pretty dumb if you ask me, I still have a copy of the first text adventure I made, executable & source code, not a very good game, it had a picture at the beginning & end, and about 10 screens, very hard!
