I'm just curious as to how much everyone payed for Duke Nukem 3d. Also which one you purchased.
I payed $47 for normal edition at K-Mart in '97 and $28 for atomic addition at Sams Club in '98.

I paid $8 for v.1.3d at Office Depot in '98, and I just paid $15 for Atomic Edition this morning. I finally gave in and bought it.

I payed $45 a couple years ago for Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition
(damn...like $10 bucks now... http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif )
Can't remember - it was 2 days after it hit stores (I was on the reserve list for months http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif).

No regrets getting it from Wal-Mart? They had a different version packaged with it, Adult Mode can't be unlocked without a patch downloaded from the internet. That'd be a regret for me, it just doesn't look the same when you blow up a guy and he just dissappears...

Here's some replies for many or the posts.
TO SITH: I would imagine that it was quite expensive if it had just hit the stores 2 days before.
TO DELPHI DUDE: Paying 90$ for Duke Nukem? That's over doing it alittle. You should have asked about the price to the manager or something. BTW: What store was it?
TO EVERYONE: Isn't wierd how we buy a game and it is expensive but then the next time you see it it's cheaper. I bought Duke It Out In D.C. for $20 at Wal-Mart in '97 and the next time I see the game it's $9.

I picked up the Original for $30 at Compusa in '97 & got the Plutonium Pak for $15 in '98, also at Compusa.

Note that I said fl. not $. I live in Holland, where we have a slightly different currency. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif
$ 1.00 is approx. fl 2.00, so I paid about $45 for Duke Nukem 3D, and about $30 for the Plutonium Pack. And I bought those within a week of being released. http://3drealms.3dportal.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

I didn't pay anything for Kill-a-ton, it was a Christmas present. But I'm guessing it was about 40-50$ at CompUSA.
