The reason for that is the limited
number of notes that could be on at
any one time (this was originally
written for FM synth). To keep from
going over the maximum number of
notes on at one time, I had to keep
cutting my drum part down by
deleting things. The toms suffered
the most. On the FM synth, you
never really heard the drums that
well, anyway. Those of you listening
to this on a wavetable card will
probably laugh at the drummer. But,
this is the exact version that played
on the FM synth (except the
instruments are now mapped for

The reference to the original Keen makes it sound like it's from that series, but to my knowledge there is no music for Keens 1-3. Keen3.mid *does* sound quite a bit like the one for the Security Center, but there are differences. I suppose the transition to Midi could have changed it somewhat, but I'm still not entirely convinced they are one and the same song. However, both are at about 120 on the metronome (although I think the one in the game is a little slower)so anything's possible.
