Im having a virtual memory problem. I have the page file set for 768 low and 1500 high, I just reset it too 2000 and 2000. The problem is I keep an error telling me the minimum is too low (This is WinXP) Down below where you set the limits it says the minimum allowed is 2 meg! I dont see any way to change that but there must be a way, does anyone know how to change that minimum setting?

This error might be because you set the high and low both as 2000. One has to be higher or lower than that.

theoretically it should work ... maybe 2GB is to big ... I've set mine to 1536 (the value XP recommends is 1534).
I would try smaller values (who needs 2GB anyways :P)

No it doesn't.

Well originally it was lower, I set it to 2000 AFTER the problem and windows should be able to adress 4 gig anyhow. Anyway it is not the 2000/2000 that is the problem, it is the fact that right under there it says the minimum windows will allow is 2 megs and I dont see how I can reset that.

Why on earth do you want to reset that? 2 MEGS is no amount of virtual memory at all. 2 GIGS is far more like it, depending on your other specs. I would suggest just letting windows handle it and see what happens.

Now I see what is happening, When it says's minimum allowed that just means the lowest you can set it too, I feel so stupid for thinking that it was somehow using only 2 megs at times. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif

Still with a minimum of 768 I I dont think I should have ben getting errors, maybe it's because this computer runs a security camera that saves large files to a second hardrive. I should probably just set the damm thing to 4 gigs and be done with it.

That would seem like a good idea. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
