I wanted to buy one must fall and jazz the jack rabbit, I went to epicgames and they gave me a link to epic classics. They don't accept (What was I smoking when I spelled it except?) credit cards or debit cards but they take in mail in money orders, checks, and cash. Has anyone ordered from there before because I don't want my money being stolen.

They're reliable. I bought Jazz Jackrabbit from them, came with a legally burned CD and a xerox of the game manual.

As for OMF: 2097, that's released as freeware. You can get it here (http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/66). DON'T get the patch if you plan to use it in DOSbox.

I still want a hard copy of omf. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I like collecting stuff like that.

EDIT: Did the cd have any jazz art on it or was it just some cd-r with the files?

Another edit: So would that omf copy they have come with the manual and strategy guide and poster like it said?

If Epic Classics says it has it in the OMF package, then I don't see why not. It's probably a xerox, too.

And the CD-R I got had a printed label that says "Epic Megagames - Jazz Jackrabbit" with a musical note background. You can tell professionalism isn't one of Epic Classic's key goals, but meh.

I know the story behind Epic Classics, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell it. Here's some information that is clearly part of the public domain: look at Epic Classics' mailing address and the mailing address in any Epic MegaGames game. Same address. In other words, you can buy from Epic Classics with confidence. Just be advised that some of those games (ZZT, OMF) have since been released by their developers as freeware.

I know they are freeware, hell I have omf right now. But I would really enjoy the extra stuff like the poster and manual and strategy guide. Used to have that stuff a long time ago but my dumbass dad lost it, along with my other dos favorites which I am now buying again one buy one.
