Mac OS X version and French Translation

Hi,
I'm french and I have Shadow Warrior Source Code(and xCode) and and I would like to make a French version... Is this difficult? When will Shadow Warrior for OS X Leave?

I don't think the OS X version of JFSW has been released yet, so there is nothing for you to translate to French at this time.

I'm anticipating making a release of JFDuke and JFSW reasonably soon and it will be the first to also support OS X. Also, I don't know exactly what you hope to translate to French because the in-game font doesn't contain the accented characters needed to properly write French text. One of my many objectives for the JF ports is to give them the capability to handle foreign languages in-game for things like multiplayer chat and HUD messages, but there are other more pressing features in line first.

I'll see about maybe uploading a current copy of the source later so you can build it on OS X and play.

Isn't a lot of the ingame text in the .CONs? As it is you could always just do it with some art hacks. There are a bunch of user tiles available for you to make your own special characters and then just hack the CONS a little.

Or maybe something like using 'a^' for 'â' (perhaps there are established conventions for this, but since I never use them...)

If you want I could even make some of the aceented fonts for you. Just tell me the ones you need, cause I stll have the originals of the fonts I made (though I only did a couple of them in SW).
