Just curious, roughly how many hours of single player gameplay Prey will have. My other question is I read that there were modifications made to the Doom engine and I was curious what kind of things were changed on it

Off the top of my head they've added portals and full shader support.
Yeah, dynamic portals and gravity system are the new engine features introduced in Prey.

In all, about 30% new technology has been enhanced/added into Prey's engine...

Inded it is...
But remember that it doesn't actually mean that it's 30% extra content...
It could as well be only 5% new elements (portals and stuff)... And the rest 25% being improved graphics, physycs, etc...
So by "new technology", i don't mean: "never seen before things"... But: "Things the Doom 3 engine didn't have before"...

Yeah ok, but that still is a lot to add. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

- Dynamic portals
- Special effects like Explosion blur, I also seem to remember a kind of particle system, etc...
I doubt there are drastical changes. With a powerful engine like Doom 3 you don't NEED big improvements http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Heh, yeah... I'm even sure that ALOT could be pulled out of the regular version of Doom3's engine...
Just like 3DR did with Build, by making Duke3D, and Shadow warrior

That all depends, on how much of the required code is allready in. But I do believe that the power of the Doom 3 engine makes it relatively easy. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
