[DNMP] Shadow Warrior Billboard

Unfortunately, I never encountered the billboard during my time of playing the game all the way through. Is it actually in there? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I do believe the billboard is in there, episode 2 level 1 I believe. But I don't think it's a Shadow Warrior bilboard, just a board using the yin-yang sign for something else, I think it's a restaurant add.

It actually is the Ying & Yang symbol from SW...

Hmm, I'll have to have a look through the game again. Even though the billboard may not be Shadow Warrior related, it still is a reference to it, which I want to see in-game.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the developers removed the Shadow Warrior billboard and replaced it with the "This Space for Rent" one, which is listed in the shader directory as 'wangbillboard.shd and wangbillboard.png'. Maybe Joe or someone at 3DR can enlighten us. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have searched all of the shader files for the game and have not been able to find either an SW pic or shader. If anyone else does, please inform us.

That screenshot is indeed from the first level of episode 2, taken along the sidewalk run just after Duke runs up the long board between the two buildings and it breaks, dropping him to the alley beside the dumpster. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There is no SW billboard in the game, not that I remember. I seem to remember during testing thinking it would be a good place for a SW gag, but I seem to remember someone saying there wasn't going to be one.

But I don't remember for sure at the moment.

Keep in mind developer screenshots (for any company, not just us) are taken from pre-release builds and sometimes are faked or staged things you will never see in the game anyway.

Not really, I just noticed it in the screenshots before I bought the game and was expecting to encounter it during gameplay. That was one of the things I was looking forward to about the game! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I think it's safe to say there isn't. I was keeping an eye out especially for it and didn't find it, unless it's in some hidden area or something. And RG was saying how he was looking through the graphics files and couldn't find it.

Almost every single soccer game does that. Then, it looks like you're playing with stick figures.

I do as well, along with that monster he's standing over's limb - that's SW for sure.
