im thinkin this old PC game was released from 93 - 95. i think in the game u control this guy around and he may have had a sword. it was egyptian and arabic lookin. you would fight various monsters too i believe. i thihk it may have been a downview game too. i believe it came out around the saame time as kings quest 6 and im almost certain i remember a tv spot for it. that is all. game titles and screnes will be a big help, even if yer not sure. thanks.

You are sure about:
- PC game
- 93-95
- Arabic theme

You are not sure about:
- You had a sword
- A downview game
- Monsters

It is important you know what type of game it was. Platformer or top-downview? Maybe if you remember some parts from the game. Any information would help figure this out. You hardly said anything about it. From your explanation you could say Prince of Persia fits because you are not sure about most stuff.

I was about to suggest Prince of Persia too. Could you tell us:
Popularity of game
Genre
Weaponry
Scenes from game you remember
What version of the game you had (demo, full, full + add-ons, etc.)

It might be a little easier if you told us the name of the game...

Ooooh....I love these hunts! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Just like the good old days.

Lets see, was it action oriented or rpg type of fighting? Was the character also arabic? When you say the same time as Kq6, was it a simialr type of game (adventure)?

Could it be Quest for Glory 2 or 3?

Try to remember any other little details you can.

I think he means PowerSlave, doesn't he? There may be a demo for that, let's see... Going to Download.com now: Nothing, and Filefront only has some mods for some games. I'm not too sure where you can find Powerslave for the PC anymore, unless you find a used PS1/PSX version of Powerslave, I don't think it'll be found that easily anymore.

IIRC, POP 3D was released in or around 1999. This guy is looking for something from the mid-90's.

Zeliard perhaps? That game was so cool! Mobygames states its a '87 game but others a '91 one. But I can't remember that either...

According to google (my favored spell checker), facetious and facetous are both correct, so i wouldn't know what to say...

Heh, I finished Zeliard a few times. I remember writing a walkthrough for the game too. I still have some maps I did for the 7th level maze to the dragon and the final level (All those damn air drifts). It also had some great music.

What genre, exactly? Was it strategy, RPG, adventure?

Remy

My guess would be Al-Qadim - The Genie's Curse (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/al-qadim-the-genies-curse). The only isometric or top-down game with an arabic theme that I know of.

It's rather good. It is based on a pen and paper RPG by TSR and plays a bit like Zelda with a few D&D elements thrown in.
