I know I was asking if it was possible to make editing unlimited in certain forum sections so we could keep editing say, our first post if we made a thread.

Now, it was impossible with the old software but is it doable with the new software?

Editing limits are the same here, unless you were made a moderator or admin, you're bound by the set time limits.

Ah, I could see neat fnord board game possibilities.

Would of helped me great in organizing certain things to. I like to be neat...

Oh well, I'll have to find some other means.

Say if you made a thread about certain games, where to get reviews, etc. Instead of adding replies lost in a pile of replies, or making a new thread about any updates, it'd be easier to edit the main thread.

Just sayin'.

But you could ask a moderator to make additions to the original post in those sorts of situations, couldn't you?

Exactly.

What is the purpose of this limited editing actually?

It prevents people from backpedaling on previous statements, harrassing members, etc. There are more advantages to limited editing than disadvantages.

Sad, but true.
