Who coined the phrase?

i've seen some peoples posts and a lot of 'em say "all your base are......" then while playing MP i saw it on the side of tar cafe. so did everyone see this first and why post it if they did?

Here's a little story...

In 1989, a Japanese company known as Toaplan created a game called Zero Wing. It was a typical, dull side-scrolling shooter in the vein of R-Type. This game fared quite poorly and Toaplan went bankrupt not long after this game's abysmal sales figures hit Toaplan. However, when the American version was being made, of course, there were translations to do. However, the translations which made it onto the final product were such wacky phrases as "Someone set us up the bomb", "You have no chance to survive make your time" and, yes, the ubiquitous "All your base are belong to us."

Since the creation of a certain flash video (Invasion of the Gabber Robots by The Laziest Men On Mars), all of a sudden, it has become one of the world's largest in-jokes with "AYB", as it is now abbreviated, making its way into almost every corner of the internet. Unfortunately for those who don't understand it, it just leaves them thinking, "What you say?!?"
