View Full Version : Creating Sockets in c# without using .NET libraries
Anyone know how can i do this?
the reason is that once i finish the program i don't want .NET to be installed on the computer. or is there a way i can just include with my project a .dd somewhere with all the libraries it would need?

I don't think it can be done. Even if you find a way to use Platform Invoke to create sockets, you'll still need .NET installed to use the resulting executable (which uses IL and must be compiled to native code at runtime).
so then c++ is the option?
is there an external guieditor i can use?
vs2005 is not doing the work so well.

I think C++ is your best bet. As for GUI editors, my experience with them is very limited, so I can't give you any advice on that.
i see, it's going to be harder than i planned, just because the Gui actually. I wonder why they don't include a Gui Editor just like they did on c#
