Well, here goes all the respect I ever had- but has anyone genuinely been scared of the original Dopefish in Keen? http://www.dopefish.com/ubb/smile.gif
For those that are still reading, thanks for being brave. (Hehe http://www.dopefish.com/ubb/smile.gif I remember playing Keen years ago when I was fairly young and the Dopefish was chasing me- as I speed to that damn Oracle priest. The Dopefish got me and I vaguely remember screaming. Out loud. Shortly though.

Seriously, though, the only games that have really scared me have been Blake Stone, Wolfenstein 3D, Heretic, Descent, ROTT, and Terminal Velocity (aaah, that's more than I thought). I can still remember my heart pounding when those two light hulks appeared blocking the exit in the second level of Descent...

The dopefish never scared me, but Blubous Tubour (I think that was his name) from Keen Dreams did. He was huge!

The most recent computer game to scare me was Deus Ex (awesome game by the way) when I stepped out of an elevator into an area I thought I had previously clear out, but had actually decided to use a stealth approach in, and ended with a guard on either side of me.

Hans from Wolf3D was pretty scary too.

Oh, the big potato king? I didn't find him scary. He was huge, but not fearful (As in you screeched out loud once http://www.dopefish.com/ubb/smile.gif.
Who else have I been scared of from games? Oh, numerous Spectrum games (One with monks fighting, and I thought I was in a safe area, then this guy came along and fireballed me and I was agast in horror http://www.dopefish.com/ubb/smile.gif.
As for Wolfenstein? Hmm...can't remember playing that much of it.
