No CD in Box LOL!

I purchased MP at an Electronics Boutique in Virginia a few weeks ago. Took it home, ripped open the box to find NO CD Media in the case. Mouse pad, check. Manual, check. CD 'jewel case', check. CD? ... none.
I took the box back to EB the next day, stood in line for a half hour (xmas ppl), and at least 4 ppl had bought MP in front of me. The guy opened up a new MP box and again, there was no media in there either. A lady behind me (a few ppl back) was carrying an MP box she was planning on buying.. she opened hers up to reveal NO CD either! LOL!
The EB guy finally found some boxes with CDs in them and now I'm happy.. but.. I feel bad for those people that were going to find an empty MP box under the Xmas tree:/
I wonder if it was EB's fault? The distributer's fault? Someone in between? *shrug*
Has that happened to anyone else?

Well, since EB doesn't put the CDs in the box themselves, it's probably the distributors' fault. At first I thought maybe someone had bought MP, taken the disk, and returned it. But since you said there were lots of boxes like that, it wouldn't make sense. Kinda funny though. images/icons/grin.gif So, either the distributors made a mistake or you're making this up. images/icons/cool.gif

Thing is, the boxes were sealed. I mean with plastic MP logo thingie, not scotch tape:)

Yeah, man, same thing went down at the Electronics Boutique here in TX, but when I was in there buying RtCW, there was this chick making some huge scene over it and threatening the cashier. ...Arrrgh, some people....

Electronics Boutique is silent enemies with Babbages (where my bigger, better, funkier, fresher brother works). It's all in fun, of course. We just make jokes about the intimidating bald guy that works there. images/icons/wink.gif

Although I didn't wait for a patch.. I waited ALL NIGHT IN AGONY and MOST OF THE NEXT DAY.. suffering through work, before I could get back to EB to get a new copy. *sigh*

That is SO funny because on Christmas Day I went to open my copy of MP for my PS2 and to my horror, no game in the box. The cool thing was that I was so worried about them not giving me a refund because I thought they would say I was making it all up BUT the girl at the store say that it happens all the time and that I was the third person that day.
