Freezing - Help Needed

Sometimes with no apparent reason the game totally freezes ... the PC gets totally stuck and a restart is needed,
Windows xp sp2,
512 ddr, memtest for 12 hours with no errors
Nvidia 5900Xt 84.21, Drivers up to date
Hd Wd 160, justgot it two weeks ago, i scaned it with the WD tool, no bad sectors, allso defraged it, all good.
can someone give me a leed?

Mine does the same thing, but i wait like 10 seconds and the screen flashing white and it starts back up. I have o idea

i wish it would start back after 10 seconds, i need to restart the all thing, very frustrating.

Is your PC running very hot? I've had similiar issues with FEAR, jsut froze up after 5min of playing. I opened up my PC and cleaned the dust away from the insides and it's been perfect since. Dust causes heat and heat = problems.

Just an idea.

it might be it. When i opened up my case there are no freezing. how can i know if the graphic card is the problem or maybe the processor?
