Im hearing alot of rumours and suggestions that Prey will get banned in Aus because children get killed in the game, and not only that, but here in Aus we dont have an R18+ rating on game which really sux dogs ballz. Any game that falls under 18+ rating is auto banning.
Can anyone confirm if this game will be an 18+ game in the U.S?

Don't understand why all those Bruces would want to ban the game. Seemed quite obvious that at the time of the kid being killed, it was a kid that had been turned into a monster. Theres been plenty of movies where kids under some influence do a good amount of killing, as well as kids just dieing. :dopefish:
Although most of the spaceship appearing to be giant ass holes might get it banned.

17+ as far as I know, which is rated M (dont know if Aus goes by ESRB or not).

God am I sick of the hypocrisy of such bannings. Its okay to kill aliens, no one cares about beating humans to death with a pipewrench....but damnit don't let kids get into the mix or its out.
The funniest part is that some games in the past have had far worse violent things, including killing kids, and yet have been allowed sales in Australia, Germany and all the other areas that like to ban these games. It seems like only recently and ONLY with shooters do they ever take action.
No one cared when Richard Garriott allowed it in the Ultima games now did they? You had to kill a pregnant woman in Serpent Isle....how did that slide? However if they had stuck even one child into Oblivion I bet a large attack would happen. I just don't get it....

I have the certificate on my desk that states we are rated 15+ in Australia. We got our rating some time ago, actually. I don't know where these rumors are coming from.

Yes it's a RUMOR. Games like SH & Max Payne had similar violence. FIN
